'Tis A Smile To...

'Tis a smile to Anish, who was my rival and my friend
'Tis a smile to Binamra, who was always with his girlfriend
To Anish, who would get angry for days and week
To Binamra, who once slapped me and I felt bleak

'Tis a smile to Asmith, who was always joking around
'Tis a smile to Sagar, whose voice we heard least sound
To Asmith, who was funny and naught,
To Sagar, who was submerged in deep thought!

'Tis a smile to Jyoti, who thought I was weird
'Tis a smile to Salil, whom everyone feared
To Salil, who was always talking about girls
To Jyoti, who was also talking about girls :D

'Tis a smile, to the night, I slept
On the floor in the hotel room
'Tis a smile, to the days and months,
I was depressed and gloom

'Tis a smile, to the odd numbered dates, they said I was sad
'Tis a smile, to the even numbered dates, they said I was happy
Or so they said
Whatsoever they said

'Tis a smile to me, who ignored girls and a particular teacher
'Tis a smile to me, one of the strangest creature
'Tis a smile, to our guffs and gossip,
To the boring classes, we could not skip

'Tis a smile to Anish, who was the apple of the teachers' eye
To Anish, who also needed to have his hair dye
'Tis a smile to nights, we spent watching football
To that night, Anish drank as much as half-bottle alcohol

'Tis a smile to Binamra, most often late to classes
Perhaps nobody said, "he doesn't look funny with glasses",
To Binamra, remembering whom, still puts a smile on my face
These memories will be hard, if not impossible, to erase

'Tis a smile to Asmith, or rather to his voice fabulous,
Also cycling together, we went to places wondrous,
'Tis a smile to the moments, he clicked photos and edited,
Of the alluring, nature and places we visited

'Tis a smile to Sagar, when he did assignments, not his
But of his "friends" in department electrical,
'Tis a smile to Binamra, who clicked photos
Of Sagar and his "friend", the consequence then lethal

'Tis a smile to Jyoti, who was famished and hungry
That evening, the delayed dinner got her angry,
Without dinner, she went crying and snorking that night
Binamra, perhaps you need to learn, how to be polite

'Tis a smile to Salil, who was angry evergreen
And a smile to his crush, the way she talked, a typical teen
More, more than often, Binamra would irritate him
His countenance as I saw, had a darker grim :(

And 'tis a smile to my crush, an emblem of heaven's grace
To the mornings, I'd rush to the cafe to see her pretty face
And 'tis a smile to Aasha, to exchanging messages at night,
To the moment my phone pinged, under the blanket and the mobile light

'Tis a smile to Ms. Bit Yum Na Ri,
to Ms. Bit Yum Na Ri, my Korean tutor
To the moment she laughed when I replied
"I have no whereabouts of my dreams and future"

'Tis a smile to four years of engineering
'Tis a smile to four years of KU!!!
